Helgøysund is like a dream for fishing holidays

Helgøy is one of seven islands called "the star islands“ (in Norwegian we say "Sjernarøyane"). The islands are part of the island community of Finnøy, north of Stavanger.

This region is popular for leisure – not only in summer time.

Between the islands Helgøy and Nord-Talje, about 2 km from our cottages, you will find the safe and very popular marina Helgøysund, landing place for 75 cabin cruisers and sailing yachts. In the marina there is a small shopping centre.

Swimming and marble mines

On the northern part of the island Helgøy you can go swimming on several bathing places. Here you will also find inactive marble mines, where you may look for crystals.  Bringing home crystals for gifts or making jewellery would certainly be a nice memory of Norway?
